Why do I need to crop my artwork?
When uploading your artwork to Printumo, you may need to crop it to fit the available print sizes. This ensures that your artwork looks just right and is not stretched, distorted, or printed with unwanted white borders.
What is an aspect ratio?
An aspect ratio is the relationship between the width and height of an image. It is written as two numbers separated by a colon, like 4:5, 3:4, or 2:3.
For example, a 40x50 cm print has a 4:5 aspect ratio, while a 60x90 cm print has a 2:3 aspect ratio.
If your artwork has an aspect ratio that Printumo doesn’t support, it will need to be cropped to fit one of our available ratios.
You can view all available aspect ratios and sizes on Printumo’s product pages.
Why do I need to crop multiple times?
Since Printumo offers multiple aspect ratios, you may need to crop your artwork more than once to make it available in all sizes.
A single image might not perfectly fit every print format, so you’ll be asked to adjust the composition in order to select different size options.
For example, if your original artwork is A4 size but you want to offer it in other sizes with closely related aspect ratios, you’ll need to adjust the cropping for each one individually.
Printumo makes this easy by guiding you through the cropping process when you upload your artwork.
