Your order is printed and shipped from a production facility close to your customer's delivery address. This ensures fast delivery, lower shipping costs, and in many cases, no customs fees.
Where your order is printed depends on the type of print, and on whether it is framed or mounted. The two print types do not reach exactly the same countries. Here's the full breakdown.

Fine art paper prints are printed and shipped from the following locations:

Which paper facility your order goes to
Europe: printed in Copenhagen, Denmark.
United States: printed in Los Angeles.
Canada: printed in Los Angeles, United States. We do not currently produce fine art paper in Canada, so these orders cross the border. See the customs note below.
Australia: printed locally in Sydney, across our full range of sizes, frames and mounts.
United Kingdom: printed locally in London whenever the exact product is made there. That covers unframed prints and our black, white and oak nature wood frames, without a mount. Prints with a mount (passepartout), dark oak frames or coloured frames are still made in Copenhagen and shipped to the UK.
Customs on Canadian paper orders
Because every fine art paper print for Canada is made in the United States, the parcel crosses a border and your customer may be charged import duty or a carrier handling fee on delivery. This applies to framed, mounted and unframed paper prints alike.
Canvas prints for Canada are produced in Toronto, so they do not cross a border and are not affected.
If you sell paper prints into Canada, it is worth saying so on your listing, so the charge does not surprise your customer.

Why the two lists are different
Canvas prints and fine art paper prints are made by different production partners, so their shipping reach is not identical. Canvas prints currently reach 44 countries and fine art paper prints reach 39.
The most common surprise is New Zealand: we ship canvas prints there, but not fine art paper prints. The Middle East and Asia are canvas only too. In the other direction, fine art paper prints reach Andorra, Croatia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, San Marino and Slovakia, where canvas prints are not yet available.
If your shop's market is a country we do not ship a given product to, your platform has no shipping rate to quote and will show that product as sold out or unavailable, even though the stock level looks correct in your admin. Products of the other print type in the same shop will keep selling normally. See "Why does my product show as sold out?" for the other causes of that message.
How does it work?
When your customer places an order, Printumo automatically routes it to the nearest eligible production facility. This means:
Faster delivery: prints are produced closer to your customer
Lower shipping costs: shorter distances mean cheaper shipping
Fewer customs issues: local production often avoids cross-border fees
Consistent quality: all facilities use the same materials and standardised processes
Note that the framing and mounting options you offer affect this. A frame or a mount that a local facility does not make will send the order to the facility that does, which can turn a local delivery into an international one. The United Kingdom and Canada rules above are the two cases where this happens most often.
