What happens when an order comes in?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Here is a step-by-step overview of what happens after an order is placed, whether through your connected store or directly on Printumo.

If you have a connected store (e.g. Shopify)

  1. Customer places an order on your store

    • As soon as a customer buys a product on your website, the order is automatically sent to Printumo through the integration.

  2. Order appears in your Printumo dashboard

    • You will see the order with a payment link for the production and shipping costs.

  3. You pay for the order

    • Once you complete the payment, the production process starts.

  4. Printing and production

    • The print partner begins producing the order. This usually takes 1–2 business days.

  5. Shipping

    • After production, the order is packed and shipped directly to your customer.

    • You will receive a tracking link to monitor delivery.

If you place an order directly on Printumo

  1. Create your product and place an order

    • Upload your artwork, choose your product options, and place the order directly through Printumo.

  2. Receive payment link

    • A payment link for the production and shipping costs is generated in your dashboard.

  3. Order starts after payment

    • Once paid, the production process begins and the product is shipped to your chosen delivery address.

Key things to remember

  • Production starts only after payment is completed.

  • For connected stores, your customer pays you on your website, and you pay Printumo for production and shipping.

  • Printumo handles printing, packing, and delivery directly to your customer, so you don’t need to manage any stock.
