Editing products on Printumo

This article explains how to make changes to your existing products in Printumo, and how those updates appear in your connected Etsy and Shopify stores.

Prerequisites

You must have at least one shop connected to your Printumo account (Etsy or Shopify), and you must already have products published to that shop.

Step 1: Find Your Product

Go to your products dashboard and find the product you want to edit. Look for products marked as "finished" or "published".

Step 2: Enter Edit Mode

Click "Edit Product" on the product you want to change. This takes the product back into editing mode.

Step 3: Make Your Changes

You can now change any of the following:

  • Product title and description

  • Available sizes: add or remove size options

  • Framing options: change which framing styles are available

  • Pricing: adjust prices for individual variants (size and framing combinations)

  • Mockup images: choose different preview images for your product

Step 4: Complete the Editing Process

Work through the editing steps until you reach the last one, then click "Publish". This is the important part. Your changes only reach your connected shops once you finish the whole editing flow. If you stop before the end, your changes stay in Printumo as a draft.

What Happens When You Save Changes

Once you finish editing, Printumo updates your product in every connected shop automatically. You do not need to do anything by hand.

What Gets Updated

Your connected shops receive:

  • Product title and description changes

  • All product variants (new size and framing combinations)

  • Updated pricing for each variant

Product images work differently from one shop to the next. See the two sections below.

Product Images on Shopify

Your Shopify product images always update. Every time you edit and save a product, Printumo refreshes the mockup images on the Shopify listing. There is no setting you need to switch on.

Printumo only replaces its own images. Any photos you added to the listing yourself in Shopify are kept, and Printumo's images are placed in front of them.

If you imported the listing from Shopify, your own photos keep the first position, and Printumo's mockups sit behind them.

Product Images on Etsy

An Etsy listing keeps the pictures it already has when you edit a product. To change them, open the product's Mockups section in Printumo and add, remove or reorder a photo. That sends the whole gallery to Etsy on its own.

Descriptions and Pricing on Shopify

Two things stay under your control. Go to Stores > Shopify Settings and look under "Edit product configuration":

  • Product Descriptions: when this is enabled, your Printumo description replaces the description on the Shopify listing.

  • Product Pricing: when this is enabled, your Shopify prices update to match your Printumo pricing.

Both are disabled by default, so any wording or prices you changed directly in Shopify stay exactly as they are. You can turn them on or off at any time.
