Organising your Printumo Shop with collections

Group products into collections so customers can browse them by theme, feature one on your home page, and add them to your menu.

Collections let you group the products in your Printumo Shop so customers can browse them by theme, such as Summer, Black & White, or Best Sellers. You can add a collection to your menu, feature one on your home page, and control the order everything appears in. Here is how to create and use them.

Step 1: Open your Products tab

Collections are managed from your product catalogue.

  1. From your Printumo dashboard, open your Printumo Shop and click the "Products" tab.

  2. At the top you will see a filter bar. "Main collection" holds every product that is not in a collection yet.

Step 2: Create a collection

You need at least one product in your shop before you can group products into a collection.

  1. In the filter bar, click "New collection".

  2. Enter a "Collection name" (for example Summer or Black & White), and add a "Description" if you like.

  3. Leave "Visible on your storefront" ticked to show the collection to customers, or untick it to keep it hidden while you work on it.

  4. Under "Products in this collection", select the products to include and drag them into the order you want.

  5. Click "Save collection".

Step 3: Add or remove products in bulk

You can also file products into collections straight from the catalogue.

  1. On the "Products" tab, tick the products you want to move, or use "Select all".

  2. Click "Add to collection" and choose a collection, or create a new one on the spot.

  3. To take products out of the collection you are viewing, click "Remove from collection". They stay in your shop, only the grouping is removed.

  4. "Remove from shop" takes the selected products off your storefront entirely.

Step 4: Order your products and collections

Every product sits in the main collection until you file it into one, and a product can belong to more than one collection.

  1. Use the drag handle on the right of each row to set the order products appear in, both inside a collection and in the main collection.

  2. Drag the collection tabs in the filter bar to change the order your collections are listed in.

Step 5: Add a collection to your menu

Give a collection its own link in your storefront navigation.

  1. Open your shop editor with "Customise Shop".

  2. In the navigation settings, click "Add to menu" and then "Add collection".

  3. Choose the collection to link. It appears as a menu item, and you can drag it under another item to show it as a dropdown.

Step 6: Feature a collection on your home page

  1. In "Customise Shop", open the home page products section.

  2. Under "Showcase collection", pick the collection to feature on your home page, or leave it on "All products" to show everything.

What your customers see

Your storefront has a "Shop" page that lists all of your products. Each visible collection also gets its own page (for example your-shop.com/collections/summer) that customers reach from your menu or the featured section on your home page. Hidden collections do not get a public page, and only visible collections can be linked in your menu or featured on the home page.
