Seeing who visits your Printumo Shop

The Statistics tab shows how many people visit your shop, where they come from, which products they look at and how many of them buy.

Your Printumo Shop counts its visitors for you. The Statistics tab shows how many people came to your shop, which websites sent them, which prints they looked at and how many of them placed an order. You do not need to set anything up, and it works without cookies, so your visitors are not asked for anything.

Where to find your statistics

  1. Sign in to Printumo and click Printumo shop in the left menu.

  2. Click the Statistics tab.

  3. Choose a period at the top right: 7 days, 30 days or 90 days.

What the numbers mean

  • Visitors: the people who visited your shop. A visitor is counted once a day, however many pages they open. Someone who comes back on three different days counts three times.

  • Page views: every page opened in your shop, including product pages, collections and your About page.

  • Orders: the orders placed in your shop in the period. These are the same orders you see on the Orders tab.

  • Conversion rate: the share of visitors who placed an order. 20 orders from 1,000 visitors is a conversion rate of 2%. It says Not yet until your shop has had its first visitor in the period.

Below the numbers, Visitors per day shows the same visitors as a chart, so you can see which days were busy. Click View as table under the chart for the exact number on each day.

Where visitors come from

This list shows the website or link that brought each visitor to your shop, for example Instagram, Google, Pinterest or Facebook. The busiest sources are at the top.

  • Direct or unknown means the visitor typed your address, used a bookmark, or came from an app that does not say where the visitor came from. Links in emails and in some social media apps often land here.

  • Other websites collects the smaller sources once the list gets long.

Tip: you can name a source yourself. Add ?utm_source= and a name to the end of any link to your shop, for example yourshop.com?utm_source=newsletter. Everyone who arrives through that link is counted under Newsletter. This is useful for links in emails, your link-in-bio page or printed flyers.

Most viewed products

This shows the ten products whose pages were opened most in the period. A product you have since removed from your shop is left out.

Compare it with your orders. A print that many people look at but few people buy may need a better photo, a clearer description or a different price.

How visitors are counted

  • No cookies: your shop recognises a returning visitor for one day only, without cookies. Printumo does not store your visitors' IP addresses. That is why the statistics work without a cookie banner.

  • Your own visits: when you look at your shop while you are logged in to Printumo, your visits are not counted. On your own domain, Printumo cannot tell that it is you, so your visits there are counted.

  • Robots are left out: search engines and other automatic visitors are not counted.

  • Only a live shop is counted: nothing is counted while your shop is a draft or hidden.

At the bottom of the tab you can see the date counting started. Days before that date are empty because nothing was counted yet, not because nobody visited.

Why Google Analytics or Meta show different numbers

If you have connected Google Analytics, Meta or Pinterest to your shop, their numbers will usually be lower than the ones on the Statistics tab. Those tools only load for visitors who accept cookies, and they count visitors in their own way. The Statistics tab counts every visitor, because it needs no cookies.
