You can change the prices of all your products in one go, instead of opening them one by one. Set the same profit on every price, or raise or lower your current prices by a percentage. You can do it for all your products, only canvas or only fine art, and even only for the sizes you choose. Your connected stores get the new prices too.

Step 1: Open "Bulk actions"

  1. Go to "Products" in the menu on the left.
  2. Click "Bulk actions", next to "New product" at the top of the page.
  3. The "Change prices" window opens.

Step 2: Choose which products

Under "Which products", pick "All products", "Canvas" or "Fine art". Canvas includes canvas with coloured frames.

Step 3: Choose sizes (optional)

When you pick "Canvas" or "Fine art", a "Which sizes" row appears. It starts on "All sizes", so every size changes unless you choose otherwise.

  1. Click "Choose sizes" to see the sizes you sell, grouped by shape (square, 4:5, 3:4, 5:7, A sizes and so on).
  2. Click each size you want to change. You can pick as many as you like.
  3. Click "Clear" to go back to all sizes.

Portrait and landscape count as one size, so "50 x 70 cm" covers both. Where two sizes would read the same in centimetres, the inch size also shows its inches, for example "50 x 50 cm (20 x 20″)".

Step 4: Choose your new prices

Under "New prices", pick one of three options and type a percentage:

  • "Set profit to": every price becomes your print cost plus this profit, the same as the profit bar on a single product. This replaces any prices you typed in yourself.
  • "Raise all prices by": every current price goes up by this percentage.
  • "Lower all prices by": every current price goes down by this percentage, by 90% at most.

Raising and lowering start from the prices you have now, so the gaps you set between your sizes stay the same, and so do price endings such as .99. For example, 39.99 raised by 10% becomes 43.99.

Step 5: Update your prices

The button at the bottom shows how many prices will change, for example "Update 222 prices". Click it to start. If the button is grey, the percentage cannot be used or there are no products to change, and the window tells you why.

What happens next

Your prices change in the background, so you can carry on working. When it is done you get a notification, "Your new prices are ready", saying how many products have new prices. If a product could not be changed, the notification names it, so you can open it and set its prices by hand.

Only one price change runs at a time. If you start a second one too soon, you will see "Your last price change is still running". Try again a few minutes later.

Your connected stores

Your published products also get their new prices in Shopify, Etsy, Wix, WooCommerce and Squarespace. They are sent one product every few seconds, so a large catalogue can take up to an hour to reach your store. Your Printumo Shop shows the new prices straight away.

The new prices replace the prices in your store, even if you have switched "Product Pricing" overwriting off in your store settings, because you asked for these prices. If you changed only some sizes, only those sizes change in your Shopify store.

Check this before you raise or lower your prices. Raising and lowering start from the prices saved in Printumo. If you set different prices directly in your store, those are not the prices that change. Open a few products in Printumo first and make sure the prices there are the ones your customers see.

Good to know

  • Drafts get the new prices too, but they are not published. They go out when you finish them.
  • A product you are editing gets the new prices, and they reach your store when you finish the edit.
  • Originals in your Printumo Shop and orders you placed for yourself are never changed.
  • Prices stay in each product's own currency.
  • After "Set profit to" on all sizes, Printumo remembers that profit and starts your next product from it. After a raise, a lower, or a profit on some sizes only, it works out your next product's profit from your prices instead.

To change the prices of one product, use the profit bar on its pricing screen instead: see Setting your prices and understanding your profit.
