Editing your Etsy shipping rates

You can view and edit the shipping rates your buyers see at Etsy checkout directly from Printumo, for every product type and size you sell. There is no need to change anything in your Etsy shop: any change you make here is pushed to the shipping profiles Printumo created in your Etsy shop.

Step 1: Open the shipping rates editor

There are two ways in:

1. Go to Products, click "Bulk actions" and, under "Change shipping rates", click "Etsy".
2. Or go to Stores, click "Settings" on your Etsy shop and scroll down to the "Shipping rates" section.

Step 2: Find the size you want to edit

Rates are grouped to make them easy to find:

1. Open the product type you want, either "Canvas products" or "Paper products".
2. Click a size tier (Small, Medium or Large) to expand it.
3. Inside, you will see each destination (such as the European Union, the United Kingdom or the United States) with its current rates.

Step 3: Edit a rate

Each destination has two amounts you can change:

1. First item: what the buyer pays to ship the first item in the order.
2. Each extra item: what is added for every additional item in the same order.

Amounts are shown in your Etsy shop's currency (the note under the rates tells you which), so what you type is exactly what your buyer pays. You can set any value, including 0 for free shipping. Leaving a box blank clears your custom rate and returns that destination to Printumo's default.

Step 4: Save your changes

1. As soon as you change a value, a "Save changes" button appears at the top of that size tier.
2. Click "Save changes" to save the rates for that size.

Offering free shipping to everyone

To make shipping free across the board, use the "Offer free shipping" box at the top of the section:

1. Click "Make all shipping free".
2. Confirm when asked. This sets every rate to zero, saves right away, and updates your Etsy shop.

Resetting to Printumo's defaults

Changed your mind about your custom rates? Click "Reset to defaults" at the bottom of the section and confirm. This removes the custom rates you entered and puts every rate back to Printumo's default. It saves right away and updates your Etsy shop.

What happens on Etsy

After you save, Printumo updates your Etsy shipping profiles in the background. A few things are worth knowing:

1. It usually takes a few minutes. Etsy limits how many changes an app can make each day, so at busy times it can take a few hours. If an update cannot be made, you will get a notification in Printumo.
2. Only the destinations you changed are updated. A rate you set yourself in Etsy for any other destination stays as it is.
3. Product types and sizes that are not on Etsy yet will use your new rates once they are published, so you can set them up in advance.
4. Your custom rates are kept when you use "Reset Shipping Profiles" or change where your canvas ships from. A reset does replace rates you changed directly in Etsy, so it is best to manage your rates here.
